The City of Swan’s urban regeneration efforts have attracted a growing round of investment in Midland’s town centre.
Power Ledger’s energy trading technology has been incorporated into one of Western Australia’s most innovative building projects, the timber-based DeHavilland Apartments in Midland.
Several Western Australian-based property companies were awarded for their developments over the weekend, as part of the inaugural Apartment Awards for Excellence.
The $25 million timber-frame development is due to be built in the first half of 2024.
Developers in the burgeoning build-to-rent sector are adapting their projects to current market conditions.
A seven-storey apartment complex on Mill Point Road has sold for $9.5 million.
The developer and building materials company have teamed up via the state government’s market led pathway, as the government continues to roll out its $80 million infrastructure fund.
Developers say an increase to land tax concessions should help get more projects out of the ground, but that more needs to be done at a federal level.
