Akkodis is a global digital engineering and technology company. The brand was adopted in 2023 after Switzerland-based parent company Adecco acquired a majority stake in European engineering firm AKKA Technologies and merged it with its existing digital technology business Modis.
The merged business has 50,000 people across 30 countries. In Australia, the business traces its origins back to AeM, which commenced in Perth in 1998. AeM became Ajilon in 2006 and Modis in 2018.
Modis was named the Australian Partner of the Year at the 2019 Microsoft Partner of the Year awards. In 2020 Modis' One Force Locate technology, a messaging platform for the state’s police officers developed in collaboration with the WA Police Force, was a finalist in the Lateral INCITE Awards' Innovating Government category.
