Perth Arena takes top architecture prize
Perth Arena has taken out the highest overall honour at the industry-voted WA Architecture Awards, with Brookfield Place voted best commercial building.
ARM Architecture is a national architecture firm. It was involved with the Elizabeth Quay and Perth Arena projects.

Perth Arena has taken out the highest overall honour at the industry-voted WA Architecture Awards, with Brookfield Place voted best commercial building.
The Fiona Stanley Hospital has won the top prize at this year’s WA Architecture Awards, with Hassell, Hames Sharley and Silver Thomas Hanley commended for their design efforts.
The state government has named a global team to undertake foreshore improvements at Scarborough Beach, while at the same time putting out the call for an architect to provide a design for the redevelopment of the surf club into a beach hub.
Willetton Senior High School has claimed the top prize at this year’s WA Architecture Awards, while Elizabeth Quay, an arts centre in the Pilbara and the Gen Y Demonstration Housing project were among those to receive high accolades.
The new chair of Woods Bagot’s Perth studio wants to bring a distinctly local focus to the global architecture firm.
The state government says forward works for the $165 million primary school will start this week, as EIW Architects and ARM Architecture are appointed to design the project.
