PERTH-based construction and maintenance services group PCH Group Ltd has won a contract in the United Arab Emirates to supply scaffolding for a $500 million desalination and power plant being constructed at Abu Dhabi.
The contract, due to run for between nine and twelve months, is part of the company’s expansion plans since taking over Finn International, a Western Aust-ralian specialist concrete repair and acid protection contractor.
Finn recently acquired the Sydney-based Quadrant Build-ing Services for $2.5 million, making the group the largest supplier of its kind in Australia.
The scaffolding side of PCH is operated by another wholly-owned subsidiary, PCH Access Pty Ltd, which has expanded in the last eighteen months from its Perth base into Darwin, Bun-bury, Karratha and Brisbane.
“This contract is a big breakthrough for the company and gives us the opportunity to show our service capabilities in a new region,” said PCH managing director James Cullen.
