Cazaly Resources has announced Asciano subsidiary Pacific National as its preferred rail haulage partner for the Parker Range iron ore project near Southern Cross.
Cazaly plans to use Pacific National to transport iron ore from Parker Range to Kwinana Port.
In a statement, Cazaly said that Asciano provided the only independent provider of a fully integrated port and bulk rail logistics through the combination of the Pacific National Bulk Rail business and the Patrick Port business.
Pacific National has a significant presence in WA and operates Australia's largest freight terminal at Kewdale.
Earlier this week Cazaly signed a deal with Leighton subsidiary HWE Mining to develop Parker Range and also signed a financial and offtake agreement with Euromin.
The company said, "This arrangement now completes a full mine to market solution for the project."
