KEN Bowron (pictured) has been appointed as the new statutory head of EnergySafety WA. Mr Bowron was previously the general manager of regional businesses at Western Power. Mr Bowron will replace Albert Koenig, who held the position since 1995, initially as part of the Office of Energy and later as part of the Department of Consumer & Employment Protection. Mr Koenig has established Koenig Contract Services to assist energy industry entities and government agencies with technical and safety related regulatory policy work, compliance strategies and assessments and investigations.
