NEDLANDS-BASED software provider ISS Group Ltd has announced its biggest ever contract, valued at around $4 million, with Malaysian oil and gas group Petronas. Established in 1995, ISS Group delivers software solutions to the global energy and mining industries. It won the Petronas contract for provision of a “real time integrated solution” utilising its BabelFish and associated oil and gas suite modules. BabelFish is an interface through which companies can aggregate their many disparate real-time systems to provide a single holistic view of their complex processes and operations. ISS (Asia) Pte Ltd managing director Richard Pang said the company was delighted with the award of a contract from such a significant oil production and exploration company. “This is the single largest contract won by the ISS Group,” ISS Group managing director Shane Attwell said. “The profile of ISS Group internationally and the BabelFish products, in particular, continues to be enhanced by the quality of major contract awards, such as Petronas, and the previously announced contracts with Shell, Saudi Aramco, BP Indonesia and BG International.”
