A Lavish new mega yacht is set to raise the bar on luxury cruising in Western Australia’s north-west.
Indulgence Charters is preparing to launch its new yacht, the Seven Star, which will offer passengers the chance to experience the stunning Kimberley coastline in ultimate comfort.
The $15 million 30-metre Seven Star offers four separate suites and can comfortably cater for up to eight people.
The master suite features a king size bed, walk-in robe, vanity, and a large ensuite bathroom with spacious shower and twin-sink vanity.
Each suite also features flat screen televisions with Foxtel and DVD player, ipod station and internet and telephone facilities.
The Seven Star also has a personal chef and four crew to ensure high service standards.
Indulgence Charters managing director Gary Molloy said the Seven Star had undergone a total refurbishment during the past eight months, with new carpets, teak decking and new soft furnishings throughout.
He said the Seven Star offered a luxurious and boutique cruising experience with the option of either booking a single suite or the entire boat.
“It’s more like what you’d find if you chartered a luxury yacht around Monaco or the south of France, rather than around the Kimberley,” Mr Molloy told Business Class.
Unlike some of the other luxury cruises offered in the north-west, the cruise price is fully inclusive – covering all meals, snacks and alcohol 24 hours a day, light aircraft transfers, hotel chauffer collection, excursions and all fishing and diving equipment.
Indulgence Charters offers several cruising destinations. The Kimberley Adventure, departing Broome, offers seven- or 14-night cruises of the state’s rugged north-west from April to September.
From September to March, the Seven Star travels through northern Queensland, offering seven- or 14-night cruises of the Whitsunday Islands.
Mr Molloy said passengers had the choice of either relaxing on the boat or taking part in the various activities on offer.
“We have a suggested itinerary, but people can do as much or as little as they like,” he said. “They can stay in bed until 11 and have breakfast in bed, or they can get up at six and go fishing and exploring.”
Mr Molloy said the two destinations offered very different cruising experiences.
The Kimberley is the more adventurous holiday, taking in the rugged WA landscape and gorges, Aboriginal rock art, spectacular waterfalls and swimming holes.
The Whitsundays is more of an island-hopping style holiday, taking passengers to secluded beaches and diving and snorkelling through the Great Barrier Reef.
The Seven Star’s maiden voyage departs Broome on June 6, with an official invitation-only launch in Perth on April 24.
Prices start from $11,995 per person for the Kimberly adventure, with entire boat charters starting from $105,000 all inclusive.
Bookings for the first season of the Kimberley adventure cruise are already limited, with most bookings for a whole boat charter.
Mr Molloy, and fellow director Miles Dewhurst, have more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality and tourism industries, and were the driving force behind UK-based tourism company Park Leisure.
Mr Molloy has also run Hillarys-based fishing, whale watching and boat charter business Mills Charters for the past three years.
