Glencore International AG has lifted its stake in Minara Resources Ltd from 52.2 per cent to 53 per cent through the purchase of a further 4.4 million shares in the company at a cost of $26 million. The Switzerland-based company now owns 246.8 million shares in Minara valued at $1.6 billion on the announcement day share price. Clough Ltd director and CEO John Smith has increased his indirect interest in the company through the on-market purchase of 1.5 million shares at a cost of $1.07 million. Liberty Resources NL managing director Stephen Shelton has increased his direct and indirect interest in the mineral explorer through the acquisition of 4.5 million shares at $675,000, pursuant to terms of acquisition of Rhodes Resources Pty Ltd. He now owns 14.5 million shares valued at $2.7 million. Cougar Metals NL managing director Randal Swick has increased his direct and indirect interest in the company through the conversion of 3 million contributing shares into fully paid ordinary shares at $372,000. He now owns 15.5 million shares valued at $2.9 million on the announcement day share price.
