Kastle to build Mt Lawley apartments

Willing Group's Willing Property has appointed Leederville-based Kastle to build its $40.5 million luxury Mount Lawley apartments.

The boutique construction firm will start building the four-storey complex at 7 Field Street this month.

Hillam Architects and Griffiths Architects co-designed the development, comprising 24 apartments and six townhouses, including a penthouse that sold for $2.7 million.

More than 65 per cent of the residences have now sold, including the unprecedented penthouse sale figure.

Willing Property managing director Tim Willing said the commencement of construction followed a substantial sales campaign of the Field Street development, after a few months in the market.

“It was critical for us to find the right construction partner for this project. A builder that really understands the area, what we are trying to achieve and which has an exemplary track record in the delivery of bespoke, luxury design and premium finishes,” he said.

“The confidence and enthusiasm from purchasers to date confirms our strong belief in demand for beautifully detailed and grandly proportioned apartment living in the heart of Mount Lawley.”

Earlier this year, Willing Property kept its $6.9 million Clifton and Central apartment complex in Mount Lawley afloat, after its builder Pindan collapsed.

Kastle is a construction and project management company based in Oxford Street.

Former Psaros managing director Mike Enslin and former Psaros director Justin Hatch set up Kastle and partner company Valento Residences in 2018.
