Euroz raises $450,000 for charity

UPDATED: Cricket legends Justin Langer and Adam Gilchrist and renowned doctor Fiona Wood helped Euroz Hartleys raise a record amount at its third Commission for a Cause Day.

The final tally (announced on Monday) showed the stockbroking firm raised total proceeds of $450,000 from this year’s event.

That is a big increase from $195,000 at its inaugural event in 2019 and $225,000 last year.

The merger of Euroz and Hartleys, to create Perth’s largest stockbroking firm, helped to boost this year’s event.

Commission for a Cause has added to a range of philanthropic activities undertaken through the Euroz Hartleys Foundation.

Since inception, the foundation has donated over $2 million to charities in Western Australia.

Commission for a Cause will see 100 per cent of all brokerage generated today donated equally to three Western Australian charities.

This year’s beneficiaries include the Women and Infants Research Foundation, which is a national leader in the prevention of preterm births.

It also has collaborative research efforts in the fields of women’s cancer and women’s mental health.

A second beneficiary was the Western Australian Cricket Foundation, which aims to promote cricket participation among people with a disability, females and Aboriginal communities.

The third was the Wal-yan Respiratory Research Centre, via the Perth Children's Hospital Foundation.

The Wal-yan Respiratory Research Centre is focused on paediatric respiratory research, with a partnership between the Telethon Kids Institute, Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and Perth Children’s Hospital.

Cricketers Michael Hussey, Chloe Piparo, Nicole Bolton, Ashton Turner, Joel Paris, Matthew Kelly and Sam Whiteman also attended the Euroz dealing room to support the event.
