CFC posts $22m rise in revenue

Family-owned CFC Group, which has interests in Centurion and Birchmead Property Group, has grown its revenue to $651 million over the financial year.

CFC Group is a Western Australian diversified group of businesses, owned by the Cardaci family.

The group operates in more than 100 locations nationally, with more than 1,040 staff working in WA.

In its financial report, CFC posted revenue of $651 million in the year to June 2020, up from $629 million in FY19.

Its profit after tax dipped slightly, however, from $10 million to $8.6 million.

CFC ended the financial year with $5.3 million in cash, up from $1.8 million.

Consolidated gross assets for the group were up 47 per cent, from $279.6 million to $410.3 million.

The group is ranked number 9 on Business News Data & Insights’ list of private companies, with its revenue sitting behind the likes of ABN Group, BGC Australia and Tattarang.

Established in 1968, CFC holds interests in Centurion, Cape, Birchmead Property Group, Dunstons and Construction Equipment Australia.

Centurion, founded in 1971, is a logistics solutions provider that delivers distribution, warehousing and project services. 

It has a transport fleet of more than 1,500 vehicles and specialised equipment, with key operations in WA, the Northern Territory, Queensland and South Australia.

Cape is a mining services and utilities installation specialist while Dunstons provides design, engineering, construction and maintenance services to the forestry, resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Construction Equipment Australia distributes capital equipment brands including JCB and Dynapac, with more than 70 distribution centres across Australia.

Meanwhile, Birchmead develops land for the residential, commercial and industrial property sectors.
