GR Engineering set for Silver Lake upgrades

GR Engineering Services has received a letter of intent from Silver Lake Resources to complete $23 million in upgrade works at the Deflector gold-copper operation in Western Australia.

The underground mine is located in the southern Murchison region, about 160 kilometres east of Geraldton.

The scope of works under the contract will be finalised next month, with GR Engineering to begin work immediately after.

Managing director Geoff Jones said it was the company’s first major project with Silver Lake.

The letter comes three days after GR Engineering was awarded $107 million in work with Salt Lake Potash for its flagship project in the Goldfields.

GR Engineering will complete engineering, procurement and construction works for the site's process plant and non-process infrastructure.

Company shares were down 1.3 per cent at 11:25am AEST to trade at 75 cents.
