Quantify Technology will supply its smart home power-points, light switches, blind controllers and other smart devices via distributor, Fokused, for ten new apartments to be built in Cannington within the Velocity development that is being built under the Australian Government’s National Disability Insurance Scheme. Fokused and the design company have chosen to fit several devices to the new apartments that will effectively automate each apartment.
Specifically, the apartments will be fitted with Quantify’s new Control4 that will operate its smart dimmable light switches, its smart auto blind controllers and its smart power points. The automation provided by Quantify’s technology means that people that usually require a higher level of care, will be able to live more independently by accessing items within the house that require power to operate via a smart phone APP or even voice control.
Quantify’s patented technology can be integrated with Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant voice control technology, allowing residents to control everything from the blinds to the TV to the lights and the household alarm, using just their voice.
The technology means that devices and switches don’t have to be physically touched, therefore increasing the level of infection control as well.
All electrical components are inter-connected to each other wirelessly, essentially creating an internal electrical eco-system that allows the occupant to pretty much do anything from a central hub, or any switch.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is funded by the Government who has committed to providing $22 billion in funding a year to an estimated 500,000 Australians aged under 65, who have permanent and significant disabilities.
The Velocity development is being overseen by developer, Pathfinder and the ten assisted living apartments will be managed by Sana Living and certified to National Disability Insurance Scheme standards by Optimal Living Therapy.
Fokused Director, Mark Peterson, said: “We are delighted to be working on this important project that brings the benefits of automation to disability living, allowing the residence to live safer, more autonomous lives. The pipeline in strong and we look forward to bringing the unique benefits of Quantify devices to many more customers.”
