SRG wins $44m facades contract

SRG Global has secured its largest facades contract to date, winning work at the $3.2 billion Parramatta Square project in NSW.

SRG’s facades division was tapped by a joint venture between Built and Obayashi to design, supply and install an engineered curtain wall facade on two towers located at Parramatta Square.

Works are expected to commence in mid-2020 and run for approximately 18 months.

SRG Global managing director David Macgeorge said the contract demonstrated the company’s position as a leader in the Australian facades market.

“We have a long working history with Built and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Built in delivering this project,” he said.

The $3.2 billion Parramatta Square redevelopment is one of the largest urban renewal projects in Australia and will include 290,000 square metres of premium office and retail space.

Shares in SRG were up 3.5 per cent to trade at 44 cents each at 11am AEST.
