Who? ~ Founder and tech lead Anthony Manning-Franklin.
Quote ~ We started out trying to build the complete booking solution for the live music industry (gigs), but have since pared it back to the most compelling feature – search … it’s a lot of fun because ‘search’ in a subjective product such as music is a relatively hard problem
News/Market ~ Gigger’s traffic has organically grown 10-fold over the past month. So far, the engine has crawled over 220,000 bands, 4,000 venues and 50,000+ events. It is estimated that there are 12 million bands and 150,000 relevant venues worldwide, so there is still a long way to go. The goal is to develop a venue search engine next, and the company is open to investor funding of up to $250,000.
Anthony Manning-Franklin graduated from Perth Founder Institute in 2015.
Gigger launched January 15 2016 and is ranked #11 by startup date on BNiQ Startups list.
