Perth-founded stock investing platform Simply Wall St has been ranked as Techboard's top startup for the past fortnight, making it the first ever company to have topped the ranking twice after having previously topped the list in December last year.

Earlier this month, the now Sydney-based fintech acquired US company Capp.io for an undisclosed sum, adding 5,000 American customers to its existing 30,000 customer base.
Simply Wall St, which is led by co-founders Nick van den Berg and Al Bentley, also began charging customers for the first time, offering unlimited access to its investment data visualisations for $75 a month.
The startup generated plenty of national press coverage and social media engagement, in particular on Facebook.

Storekat accelerates
Storage marketplace Storekat has won Curtin University's Accelerate program.
The accelerator program offers startups 10 weeks of mentoring and workshops and a $5,000 equity-free grant.
Storekat will travel to Sydney next month to present its project to Google executives.
The startup is also is the US later this month to present at the Inside Self Storage Conference in Las Vegas.
Astron on shark patrol
Environmental consultancy Astron has partnered with drone startup Airbotix to develop a first in intelligent shark mitigation methods.
Sentinel VDS leverages drone technology to warn beach users if a target shark species is detected.
Astron technical director Julian Kruger said that he wanted to create a system that avoided the need to hunt and kill sharks.
“All of the research being conducted tells us that shark attacks are on the rise due to increasing numbers of people entering the water,” Mr Kruger said.
“We’re using smart optics and computer vision technology to enhance the rate of detection so human error can be avoided.”
New co-founders join My Storage
Storage logistics provider My Storage has welcomed two new technical co-founders to round out the team's capabilities, with Kieran Mesquita and Keegan Ott coming on board.
The startup combines flexible storage solutions with pickup and delivery services and online management, offering a seamless digital solution to urban dwellers who are short on space.
Fleetsu goes to CeBIT
Fleet tracking and management startup Fleetsu has doubled its customer subscription base in the last quarter.
It has also embarked on its latest fund-raising round, securing some interest from the WA Angel Investors following its pitch last month.
Fleetsu will be exhibiting at CeBIT Australia in Sydney next month, reaching over 15,000 attendees from Australia's business technology community.

Listed eLearning provider Velpic has released its first native app.
Velpic Supervisor is a companion application for supervisors, providing a variety of follow-up tasks for training management and industry compliance via a smartphone.
