ICT company Zetta Group has acquired Sydney-based cloud infrastructure services provider Conexim for an undisclosed sum.
Perth-based Zetta Group, which is ranked 11th on the BNiQ list of ICT companies, made the acquisition through its cloud-focused subsidiary Zettagrid.
As part of the acquisition, Zettagrid will incorporate Conexim’s four staff and 300 customers into its existing Sydney office, providing an expanded range of products.
Zetta Group has a workforce of 165 in Western Australia, while the Zettagrid subsidiary runs out of offices in Perth and Sydney.
Zetta Group managing director Nathan Harman said Conexim was a good fit for Zettagrid and both company's customers would benefit from the acquisition.
“We plan on expanding Zettagrid’s product catalogue by adding a number of unique Conexim products over the coming months,” Mr Harman said.
“We’ll also consolidate a number of services on our combined VMware platforms.”
Mr Harman said the Zettagrid subsidiary has made a series of strategic investments in the past few years and continues to innovate.
“(The investments) include expanding our data centre and point of presence locations, and architecting our cloud for extreme modularity, allowing for rapid deployment and massive scalability,” he said.
The Conexim brand will be retired upon completion of the acquisition.
