And the newest entrant onto Perth’s gelato bandwagon is Herdsman Fresh Essentials. After kitting out a ‘gelato lab’, production is well under way on the Herdie’s unique brand of gelato. And with flavours including Turkish delight, sticky date and rum and raisin, the desserts are already proving a hot item.

Ultimo Catering has fired the latest salvo in the round of corporate catering battles with a gala promotional event on the Swan River late last month.
Since 1999, the company has grown to become one of Perth’s most in-demand caterers. But it seems that Ultimo, under the direction of Peter Jamieson, is pushing for even more market share with an expanded array of new food, wine and cocktail options now available.

Must Wine Bar has invited Mr James to its April ‘meet the maker’ event on April 18. Participants can listen to Mr James describe his wine style, a bit of insider knowledge into the viticultural process down at Voyager, as well as enjoy the odd glass of wine or two.
Punters may be particularly interested to gain Mr James’ views the Voyager Estate Shiraz 2004, which was recently given a blue gold award by Neil Hadley at the Sydney International Wine Competition 2006.
