Welshpool-based logistics company Jolly & Sons has sold its John Deere dealerships in Dalwallinu and Wongan Hills to AFGRI Equipment Australia, the Midland-based subsidiary of South African agricultural services company AFGRI.
The two dealerships add to AFGRI’s existing three John Deere dealerships in Carnamah, Moora and Geraldton.
AFGRI Equipment Australia was formerly T&H Walton Stores, before the company’s purchase by AFGRI in 2004.
AFGRI’s core business is agricultural services and equipment supply servicing the grain sector.
With the deal Jolly & Sons has become a purely logistics company with branches in Perth and Darwin.
Started in 1963 to transport machinery to customers of its former dealerships, the logistics arm of Jolly & Sons has increasingly moved towards general freight and servicing the mining, oil and gas sectors.
