Diversified resource group, Batavia Mining Limited today announced it had received further outstanding high-grade drilling results from its Deflector Gold-Copper project at Gullewa in Western Australia.
Diversified resource group, Batavia Mining Limited today announced it had received further outstanding high-grade drilling results from its Deflector Gold-Copper project at Gullewa in Western Australia.
The company is preparing to commence a major new resource extension drilling program.
The high-grade intersections, which were well above average resource grade for the Deflector Deposit, were received from five diamond holes drilled into the upper primary resource zone for the purpose of completing metallurgical test work and process design.
A major new drilling campaign is scheduled to commence at Deflector within two weeks, comprising both in-fill and deep drilling targeting extensions to the current resource of 2.65 million tonnes at 6.04g/t gold and 1.23% copper (775,000 Au Eq ounces).

Major new diamond drilling campaign scheduled to commence within two weeks targeting resource extensions
Diversified resource group, Batavia Mining Limited (ASX: BTV) today announced that it had received further outstanding high-grade drilling results from its 100%-owned Deflector Gold-Copper Project at Gullewa in Western Australia as it prepares to commence a major new resource extension drilling program.
The high-grade intersections, which were well above average resource grade for the Deflector Deposit of 9.1 g/t Au Eq, were received from five diamond holes drilled into the upper primary resource zone for the purpose of completing metallurgical test work and process design.
The five diamond holes were drilled in October-November 2005 at the completion of last year's deep resource drilling program. The core has been preserved pending the recent commencement of metallurgical and process design work, required for the Bankable Feasibility Study.
A major new drilling campaign is scheduled to commence at Deflector within two weeks, comprising both in-fill and deep drilling targeting extensions to the current resource of 2.65 million tonnes at 6.04g/t gold and 1.23% copper (775,000 Au Eq ounces). The results of the five metallurgical holes announced today will also be added to the mineral resource database. This is expected to contribute positively to the overall grade of the Deflector deposit when resource modelling is undertaken at completion of the new drilling campaign.
