Perth median home values remained among the fastest growing in Australia over the past 12 months, despite staying largely steady over June, analysts say.
RP Data-Rismark’s monthly look at house prices put the median in Perth at $500,000 in the month of June, up 0.1 per cent on May.
For the year, however, Perth home values are up 6 per cent, the report says.
Only Darwin home values have grown quicker over the year with 6.1 per cent growth.
Elsewhere in Australia, Sydney home values were up 2.7 per cent in June, for a 5.6 per cent yearly gain and a median of $580,000, while Melbourne home values grew 2.3 per cent for the month and 3.4 per cent for the year, for a median value of $512,000.
Across all capital cities, home values are up 3.8 per cent over the past year, with every capital city excluding Hobart recording gains.
