IN 2003, Scott Rawson started his own business dedicated to the design and manufacture of portable building solutions.
This quickly expanded to portable toilets and showers for events through Mr Rawson’s network, after Mr Rawson noticed a gap in the market in relation to product choice and hygiene and sanitation levels.
The division is now one of the flagship assets of the business, which was rebranded to Instant Products Group and services a variety of sectors including mining, engineering, property development and government.
Mr Rawson’s entrepreneurial streak stems from his high school days when he set up his own IT business, and had ambitions to continue with it after school was over.
However some of the harsh realities of small business ownership hit Mr Rawson, who now says he has learned good financial lessons from the experience.
