PERTH’S sporting and business community have helped raise more than $85,000 for the David Wirrpanda Foundation at this year’s PricewaterhouseCoopers Cool Night Classic.
About 1,800 people participated in the five kilometre run from Perth to the South Perth foreshore last Thursday.
Sporting personalities from the West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Dockers, Perth Wildcats and the Australian netball team joined in to raise money to support the foundation in its goal of improving the health, education and employment prospects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. PwC managing partner Nick Brasington said the event was an “outstanding success”.
