Melville Holden has been reappointed as the official motor vehicle partner of the Perth Wildcats until the end of the 2014-15 national basketball league season.
The car retailer renewed its partnership with the basketball team for a further three years, maintaining its digital signage and corporate hospitality, and increased its involvement by becoming a supporting partner of the club’s Inspire Community Raffle.
As part of its support to the raffle through the 2012-13 championship season Melville Holden will donate a new car as the first prize.
The raffle raises funds to help deliver the club’s community initiatives that will see the players visit more than 200 primary schools.
The retailer will also sponsor the most valuable Perth Wildcats player by providing a prize for each of the 14 home games this season starting with a game against the Adelaide 36ers at Perth Arena on November 16.
Melville Holden dealer principal Paul Davies said the decision to renew its partnership with the basketball club was easy to make.
"We have been involved with the 'Cats for the past six years and thoroughly enjoy our involvement," Mr Davies said.
"They are a successful club on and off the court and we see significant benefit in aligning our brand with theirs.
“Last season proved to be a huge success and we are thrilled to be growing with the club as they move back into the city to the Perth Arena."
Perth Wildcats managing director Nick Marvin said it was great to welcome back Melville Holden and they were excited to have them on board supporting the clubs community programs.
The announcement follows news in June that the Police & Nurses Credit Society signed on as the team’s official membership partner while Willie Creek Pearls also joined with the Wildcats in July as its inaugural jewellery partner for the 2012-13 season.
