Perth’s City Square has become just the second property worldwide to bear the name of Canadian investment fund Brookfield, after it was rebranded Brookfield Place Perth.
Brookfield Australia senior managing partner Brian Kingston said the company had decided to rebrand the City Square development to include the Brookfield name because of the building’s status as the biggest office development in Perth, and its environmental excellence.
“To date we have only had one building we have been willing to have our brand name attached to, Brookfield Place in Toronto,” Mr Kingston said.
“Given the importance of this project and the place it sits within our portfolio, we have decided to rename City Square Brookfield Place Perth.
“This will be a dominant office building in Perth and provides amazing amenities… this will be a mini city and will provide, not only our tenants but the whole CBD, a place to go and do everything.”
