OLEA Australis managing director Chris Perrott has resigned from the company, stating he had substantially achieved his goal of restructuring the olive oil producer and was seeking a fresh challenge. Mr Perrott will see out his notice period of one month and assist in the smooth transition of his position. He took charge of the loss-making group earlier this year amid the turmoil of a major restructuring and cost-cutting drive, which had resulted in the departure of founding managing director Gus Simpson. Olea had also sought a merger with Larenta Olives but was beaten to the punch by the Frankland River Olive Company.
