Perth investment fund best in Asia Pacific

Perth-based investment manager NWQ Capital Management has been ranked as the top fund in the Asia Pacific region and ninth globally for investment returns.

The ranking was produced by global investment funds research organisation Eurekahedge, which monitors 25,683 funds globally.

NWQ said its NWQ Diversified Fund produced a return of 13.31 per cent for the year ended December 31, while the ASX 200 index lost 10.5 per cent.

“That difference of 24 percent was also generated with significantly less risk than traditional sharemarket investing,” NWQ founder and managing partner Jonathan Horton said.

“Our strategy and results do not rely on what happens on the markets.

“A number of prominent high net worth individuals in Perth chose to invest with NWQ in our foundation year – and were rewarded for doing so.”
