The latest Nielsen radio ratings for Perth released this week showed an increase in percentage points in all timeslots for stations 6IX and 6PR.
However, while MIX 94.5 continued to dominate the airwaves, it experienced some losses in this survey, decreasing between 0.2 and 2.6 percentage points in all time slots besides Saturday and Sunday, which increased by 0.1 percentage point.
Another FM station, 92.9, was the same, but it gained 1.0 percentage point for its breakfast program, The Larry Baxter Show.
96FM had steady gains across every program slot, except 7pm until midnight, both in percentage share and audience numbers.
Nova FM made a considerable gain in its primary audience of 18 to 24-year-olds, jumping by 4.2 percentage points, from 27 in the last survey to 31.2.
However, only two of Nova’s timeslots, breakfast with Nathan and Nat, and drive between 4pm and 7pm, had percentage point increases.
In the same age demographic, 92.9 gained 4 percentage points, it now stands at 15.3 per cent.
The survey also showed ABC 720 presenter Liam Bartlett continued to dominate 6PR’s Paul Murray, even though the later program gained 1.4 percentage points to take it to an 8 per cent share of the morning listener market.
Mr Bartlett gained 0.4 per cent from 10.4 per cent.
In the 25 to 39-year-old demographic, 6PR experienced the biggest percentage point gain.
It increased its market share by 3 per cent to 4.6 per cent. 96FM holds the top spot.
MIX 94.5 received one of its biggest percentage decreases in the 40-54 age bracket, losing 3.1 percentage points. The station still heads this group at 25.5 per cent.
Also in this age bracket, 6IX increased by 4.1 per cent to 11.2, making it the third highest rating station.
There have also been recent program changes announced, including Bob Maumill coming back to afternoons on 6PR, and Millsy and Tony Mac on breakfast.
ABC 720 lost percentage points in both the afternoon and drive time slots.
