IT equipment and service providers, Desktop Applications and Perth Pro Sales, have joined forces to create new company, Team Digital.
Team Digital director Martin Healey said the merger was a natural progression for both companies.
“We are tackling different markets but with the same technology,” he said.
Team Digital will aim to position itself as a one-stop technology shop for Perth’s creative professionals.
“It’s computers meets cameras,” Mr Healey said, “We see an increasing convergence of technology in the creative marketplace.
“Photographers are now buying computer products and graphic designers are buying photographic products.”
Desktop Applications was established in 1994 and employed 10 staff in sales, technical support and software training from its City West centre in West Perth.
Perth Pro Sales was established in 1980 – as a result of a merger between Perth Photographics and Perth Pro – and specialised in traditional and digital photographic equipment and imaging. Perth Pro Sales employed seven people in sales and technical roles in its Lord Street premises.
Team Digital is located at 268 Lord Street. Its directors include: marketing and training centre director Martin Healey; sales director Patrick Donaghey; and finance and administration director Don Nicholls.
