LINDA Ross (formerly Mead) has taken over Bravo’s restaurant in Subiaco.
Ms Ross took over the restaurant’s operation this week from Lina and Dario Cipollini.
Ms Ross’s previous restaurant venture, LinQ, went into administration in September last year after about 12 months of operation.
Her company, Celestial Assets Pty Ltd, was placed into liquidation on October 22 2002 with debts of about $500,000.
Ms Ross sold LinQ for $400,000 to ex-husband Warren Mead, a figure well short of her initial investment understood to be about $1 million.
WA Business News understands that Ms Ross is on a repayment plan with a number of her suppliers from LinQ for debts totalling about $60,000.
Minutes of the first creditors’ meeting on October 5 2002 show that the Australian Tax Office was owed $206,200, Mainstay Cleaning $11,027, and Coffex Coffee $5,452.
Administrator Simon Coad advised the meeting that general creditors were owed about $200,000.
After the collapse of LinQ Ms Ross worked for her own marketing and promotions business, N-Durance Promotions.
Australian Securities and Investment Commission records from September this year show that the ATO filed a court action against the company behind N-Durance, Allwise Asset Pty Ltd, of which Ms Ross is a sole director.
