A NEW magazine has hit the streets with the aim of raising the profile of Western Australia’s graphic design industry.
Called Smooch, the free quarterly magazine is the brainchild of three members of that industry, Paul Bui, Miles Burke and Ian Morin.
It features interviews with high-profile local, national and international designers.
Each issue features a theme and graphic designers, photographer and illustrators are invited to submit art based around that theme.
Interviews in the first issue include South African-based Wireframe Studio’s Andries Odendaal and Infront creative Justin Fox.
The magazine is supported through sponsorship.
It is available from a number of outlets around Perth, including Jacksons Drawing Supplies on Beaufort Street, Perth; Costa’s Café, Northbridge; and the Perth Railway Station.
