We also take a close look at other interesting drill hits from last week as reported by Lightning Minerals in Western Australia and Winsome Resources at its Adina project in Quebec.

Allup Silica has secured the services of a leading international mining consultant to conduct a prefeasibility study on its at-surface McLaren heavy minerals project outside of Norseman in Western Australia. The company has engaged IHC Mining for the work less than a month after it acquired the advanced-stage project that boasts an impressive 280 million-tonne resource grading 4.8 per cent heavy minerals.

Latitude 66 has started turning the diamond drill bit at the K South prospect within its Kuusamo Schist Belt gold project in northern Finland. The company says the initial focus will be on its K9 and K8 targets, with the drilling program set to extend up to a total of 2000m in a bid to unlock further high-grade hits of the yellow metal.

Javelin Minerals has increased the JORC resource estimate for its Coogee gold-copper project near Kambalda in WA by 158 per cent to 3.65 million tonnes at 1.08g/t gold and 1.01 million tonnes at 0.41 per cent copper. The significant upgrade relates to a revised gold content of 126,685 ounces and was determined from an independent review of historic estimates, assumptions and drilling.

Radiopharm Theranostics has boosted its stake in a US-based joint venture with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to 75 per cent after promising preclinical results in a wide range of tumour therapies. The company says it has increased its hold in “Radiopharm Ventures” from 51 per cent by committing an additional US$4 million (AU$5.9 million) towards future preclinical and clinical trial expenses.

Aurumin is preparing to launch into a drilling campaign to expand its gold inventory and potentially find economic iron mineralisation at its range of projects around Western Australia’s historic Mid West town of Sandstone. The company has a 946,000-ounce gold resource at its projects and recently retrieved 320 pulp samples to be assayed for the iron it identified from rock-chip sampling.

Buxton Resources says a new diamond drilling campaign has nabbed a 68m intercept featuring about 10 per cent of visual total graphitic carbon from 43m at its Graphite Bull project in WA’s Gascoyne region. The company has completed 1221m of diamond core and 3534m of ongoing reverse-circulation drilling at Graphite Bull in a bid to produce an end-of-year mineral resource, with all holes intersecting graphite.

This week’s Bulls N’ Bears Runner of the Week is … antimony. The grey metal was behind significant share price jumps for Larvotto Resources and several other ASX-listed companies. Also, Dundas Minerals jumped 188 per cent on news of finding solid gold up to 9.5g/t in re-assayed samples, while other movers and shakers this week were MTM Critical Metals and First Lithium.

Novo Resources has produced a suite of high-grade gold assays after an intensive reassessment of core from past drilling at its Belltopper project in Victoria – just 50km south of Agnico Eagle’s world-class Fosterville mine. The company says its re-assaying of 11 historic diamond drillholes has confirmed multiple mineralised intercepts across several priority target corridor zones prospective for gold and other “in-demand” minerals.

ASX-listed Neometals has switched up its corporate strategy to sharpen focus on rolling out bigger and more lithium-ion battery recycling plants to a growing list of license holders via the Primobius joint venture it shares with SMS group. It will also target the sale of non-core assets and building strategic partnerships to share the ongoing development expenditure of other technologies to better manage its capital.

American West Metals says it has defined more solid evidence of a possible giant copper deposit at its Storm project in Canada’s Nunavut territory, with two deep diamond holes boring through a respective 21.3m and 99.2m of visible copper. The drilling of seven deep diamond holes to date have all intersected the company’s prospective target horizon at depth and all have revealed copper mineralisation.

King River Resources has punched 68 reverse-circulation (RC) holes for 7998m into its Tennant Creek East and Kurundi projects that sit near the town of Tennant Creek in Australia’s Top End. The $2 million drilling campaign has been designed to also test a range of new targets generated from an intensive geophysics program that was completed last year.
