After months of preparation, Lycaon Resources has kicked off a highly anticipated maiden drilling campaign at the Stansmore prospect within its West Arunta project in WA. The program will target a high-priority magnetic anomaly, which the company says could be a niobium-rare earths carbonatite, an iron oxide copper-gold orebody or an intrusion-related gold deposit.

Larvotto Resources has unveiled some stunning drill results from the Clarks Gully deposit, part of its Hillgrove gold and antimony mine in New South Wales, including 20m grading 8.2 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent and 6m at 17.2 g/t gold equivalent. The expanding deposit, which is rich in antimony, is rapidly promoting itself as a candidate for near-term feed to frontload early cash flows.

Amid a grand celebration of the WA ASX-listed small cap company community on Friday night, Larvotto Resources triumphed to take out the coveted Bulls N’ Bears “Peak Performer of the Year” award after achieving a peak share price hike of 993 per cent. Estrella Resources took out the other major award and is the Bulls N' Bears “Runner of the Year”, claiming a 240 per cent share price jump from January to November 2024.

King River Resources has received the final $2.4m cash payment owed by Darwin-based Tivan Limited for its acquisition of King River’s Speewah critical minerals project in WA’s Kimberley region, as part of a $20m consideration.

Aurum Resources has been buoyed by encouraging gold recoveries of up to 99.4 per cent from independent testwork on diamond drill core from two key targets within its BD tenement at Boundiali in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. The scoping metallurgical tests demonstrate excellent potential for high gold recoveries at a relatively coarse grind size of 80 per cent passing a screen size of 106 microns or 0.106 millimetres.

Suvo Strategic Minerals has been offered a chance to field trial its lower carbon cement in a project to replace Victoria’s dangerous level crossings. Suvo’s concrete mixes use cleaner cement made from kaolin amongst other things. The government agency leading the project will also help Suvo navigate the commercial and technical approval processes involved to introduce its cement mixes to the marketplace.

Larvotto has consummated an offtake deal with Wogen Resources for antimony from its NSW Hillgrove mine with a $6.1m prepayment that comes on the back of $8m worth of options being exercised to fast-track exploration and complete the project's DFS. Larvotto has been a market darling this year with its stock peaking during the year at a 1218 per cent premium to its low in February.

Aurum Resources has completed more than 24,000m of diamond core drilling at its Boundiali “BM” joint venture project in Côte d'Ivoire, earning it an 80 per cent interest in the 400 sq km project. The drilling was undertaken by Aurum’s 100 per cent-owned subsidiary Plusor Global in its Plusor-Minex JV tenement, the other 20 per cent of which currently resides with its JV partner Minex West Africa.

This week’s Bulls N’ Bears Runner of the Week is … PhosCo. The phosphate explorer was awarded a critical exploration permit and signed an important agreement to collaborate on developing Tunisia’s northern phosphate hub. Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals ran hard after being given the green-light for its phase-three drug trials, while other movers and shakers this week were AVJennings and Errawarra Resources.
