Peter Ward joined the independent bar in 2016, as a member of Francis Burt Chambers, after almost 20 years practising in the fields of large-scale construction and infrastructure project disputes, domestic and international arbitration, government contracting and public law in government and private legal practices.
He appeared as counsel in numerous arbitration hearings and in reported cases in the Federal Court of Australia and in State and Territory Supreme Courts, as well as in appellate courts.
Mr Ward's clients included multinational resource and engineering companies, Australian Government agencies and listed corporations, usually acting for project principals but also on occasion for contractors.
He has been appointed sole arbitrator in construction and infrastructure disputes and as expert to conduct legal expert determination.
