Matt Rutter has over 18 years of experience trading and marketing food, and food commodities worldwide. He is the general manager of marketing and business development for the world’s largest rock lobster exporter, Geraldton Fishermen’s Cooperative. Prior to his current role, Mr Rutter held a number of senior positions with Australian export firms, notably as head of trading at Australia’s largest grain trader CBH and with a US-based multinational. He has built a reputation for developing new markets for food products across the globe and has a solid grounding in strategy and corporate governance. Mr Rutter also held a number of not-for-profit non-executive directorships including as chair of Volunteering WA, chair of Volunteering Australia, and president of the Rottnest Channel Swim. He holds an honours degree in agribusiness marketing, a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
