Mark Irwin

Mark Irwin has extensive international experience in business and operational management. He was appointed chief executive of Serco in 2013. Prior to joining Serco, Mr Irwin was chief operating officer for the China National Bluestar Company where he was responsible for leading the operations of subsidiary companies in the group's $8 billion portfolio, as well as providing leadership on strategic planning, M&A and other capital market transactions. Prior to living in China, Mr Irwin spent 8 years in the US working for multinational companies including General Electric. His formal education stems from Business and Applied Science and includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Victoria.
