Liliana Mironov

Liliana Mironov started her career in 1988 as a graduate engineer working for a large mining company in Bulgaria. In 1991, she migrated to Perth. In 1994, she joined the electrical services team at Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE) shortly after being promoted to an electrical project engineer and became a principal of the firm. During this time, she started developing the underground power design (UPD) services which has become an independent section and todate, this has consistently been one of the most successful sections in WGE nationally. Ms Mironov maintained a dual role in the company as both the UPD Section Manager and an electrical project engineer, managing large and complex projects. As project engineer and section manager, Ms Mironov engages with staff in an informal coaching role, developing technical and consulting skills. The culture of WGE has inspired her to be involved with the “Future Talent Development”. She loves working with young engineers and helping to train and develop their skills. Ms Mironov finds it extremely challenging and fulfilling to see them learn and grow to the level that they take leadership roles themselves. She is also an active member of many review committees including the Western Power Connection Manual Working Group and the Office of Energy Licensing Board. Ms Mironov has been heavily involved with the Illumination Engineers Society and the Australian Institute of Architects, having sat on the committee and participated as a judge for their Awards. For over 20 years, she has been an active member of Engineers of Australia (EA) and was elected to the grade of Fellow, the highest possible recognition available to professionals in the industry.
