Jacquie Chan
Power 500
Jacquie Chan is a Perth restaurateur.

She grew her business quickly, opening her first restaurant, Miss Chow’s, in Claremont Quarter in 2015. Ms Chan replicated the format in two more locations, opening a Miss Chow’s in Whitfords in 2017 and by the river in South Perth. Miss Chow’s Group owns two takeaway locations in City Beach and Bicton, called The Pantry.

However, not all the group’s ventures have worked out over the long term. Several food and beverage offerings around student accommodation provider Campus Perth – Small Talk Bar, Oriental Market and Grocer and Born & Bread Bakery – have closed. Rice Baby in Subiaco, which opened in 2016, also shut its doors at the end 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms Chan used the pandemic to her advantage in other areas of her business, launching a Miss Chow’s frozen dumpling range in supermarkets.
