David Axworthy

David Axworthy is a registered psychologist and was a research psychologist for the Medical Research Council. He joined the Department of Education WA in 1974 and has held leadership positions in schools, in central and regional offices. In 2007, Mr Axworthy was chief executive of the Curriculum Council. He was appointed deputy director general of schools at the Department of Education in 2011, and is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for eight education regions and networks of schools across Western Australia.
