Darren Fooks

Darren Fooks is a partner of Thomson Geer Lawyers and has been practicing energy, resources and infrastructure law for more than 25 years. He has advised on all Australian legal issues relevant to energy, resources and infrastructure activities. Mr Fooks is recognised as one of Australia's foremost experts in mining, oil & gas, and electricity projects and developments. He has personally acted in the development and operation of over 80 mineral and coal projects throughout Queensland and the rest of Australia, China, Vanuatu and Argentina. A material level of his work is in foreign direct investment into Australia. Mr Fooks has attained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at QUT and is a solicitor of the Queensland Supreme Court, Federal Court of Australia and High Court of Australia. He is also a member of the Australia Mining and Petroleum Law Association and Infrastructure Association of Queensland.
