Zorzi Builders has won the top honour at this year’s Master Builders-Bankwest Housing Excellence Awards for a Dalkeith home.
Zorzi Builders has won the top honour at this year’s Master Builders-Bankwest Housing Excellence Awards for a Dalkeith home.
The awards, now in their 41st year, received almost 300 entries across 60 categories and was assessed by 26 judges.
Zorzi Builders’ Dalkeith home, named The Peak, received the Bankwest Top WA Home award.
The four-storey home was designed to maximise views across the Swan River, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows.
Chief judge Robert Shaw said the top home exceeded all expectations when it came to attention to detail.
“The home is illuminated with windows from all angles. It is decked out with a plethora of perfectly executed elements, including a basalt stone feature wall which flows throughout the home,” Mr Shaw said.
“These top-tier homes tend to have a smaller margin for error given their grandeur. The complex nature of The Peak is a testament to the talent and expertise present within the Zorzi team and something they should all be proud of.”
Zorzi was also recognised for excellence in painting, ceilings, plastering, carpentry and external finishes.
The housing excellence awards showcase Master Builders Association of WA members for demonstrating first-quality craftsmanship, commitment to building excellence and the highest professional standards.
The 2021 chapter was held at Crown Perth on May 29, with state winners set to compete at the national awards, also held at Crown Perth on November 27.
“During such unprecedented times, we were pleased to see our members continuing to strive for excellence,” Master Builders executive director John Gelavis said.
“Last year, we celebrated our 2020 awards with no idea what was around the corner. It has been an extremely challenging year, and despite setbacks, we have seen some incredible work produced.”
