Western Australian shoe retailer Zomp has said it will close down in the coming weeks, 48 years after opening its first location in Trinity Arcade.
Founded in 1972, Zomp primarily sold international and local brands of women’s shoes with stores throughout Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
It closed one of its Melbourne locations in 2019 citing poor foot traffic, and closed its only Brisbane location that same year.
The company has now marked down all its stock by 40 per cent for its closing down sale.
In a statement posted to social media this morning, the company said it had been a wild and rewarding ride and that it was grateful to have had the continued support of customers.
“It has been an absolute pleasure assisting you in your search for the perfect pair over the year and we hope to see you in store for a final farewell before the doors close for good,” the statement said.
Zomp has been approached for further comment.
