MAKE sure you get a ginger beer from Matso’s Broome Brewery. The owners Martin Peirson-Jones and Kim Hart bought the brewery about four years ago and have invested about $400,000 that includes building an on-site microbrewery. They’ve recruited young brewer Mal Secourable to create beers that will win over consumers and beer award judges alike. Mr Secourable says the current beers aren’t a bad drop but the brews have a bit more tweaking before they’ll be perfect to unleash on punters in the metro region. What doesn’t need any tweaking is its ginger beer. The pub has inherited a formula that is so popular they’re in no hurry to make any changes. The wine-based ginger beer is on tap and very much in demand at the Broome pub.
