WESTERN Australian telecommunications company Westnet has been voted the best internet service provider for the second year running. The company was recognized as the best ISP in Australia and New Zealand by readers of PC Authority magazine. The award recognised Westnet’s reputation for service and reliability in the ISP market against a range of large-scale telecommunications companies including Telstra BigPond. The record 20,000 voting participants assessed suppliers in terms of customer satisfaction, reliability, satisfaction and an overall rating. Westnet won by the most convincing margin since the awards began, with an unprecedented perfect score of six stars across all categories. “It is a huge boost for Westnet to take this award out, and … is confirmation that Australians need an ISP focused on service and reliability,” Westnet chief operating officer Eric Cain said.
