What is your favourite holiday destination?
Las Vegas - what can I say? It has the best hotels and entertainment on the planet; and of course a bit of gambling.
What is your favourite place within WA to take a short break?
Margaret River. It's nice just to be able to relax and enjoy some nice WA wine.
Where's the best place in Perth to take out-of-towners?
From Cottesloe to Scarborough Beach - everyone marvels at the vista.
What has been your biggest travel disaster and what did you learn from it?
I once lost my luggage on a trip to Romania - I was told my bags were in Barcelona. I never take a suitcase with me now; I just stick to carry-on luggage so I never have to worry about waiting at the other end or the airline losing my things.
What is your pet hate when travelling on airplanes?
Listening to safety messages in two languages.
How often do you travel? Is it usually for business or pleasure?
I travel at least once a month, both domestic and international - and it's 90 per cent for business.
What's always in your carry-on luggage?
My reading glasses and MP3 player.
Where have you always wanted to travel/holiday but haven't managed to yet?
I've been very lucky and have travelled on business to every location I've wanted to ... although I would like to do a trip to Egypt at some stage to see the pyramids.
What is your favourite overseas hotel?
I love the Grand Marriott in Bucharest, Romania.
You wish Perth could be more like ...
... nowhere. I love Perth because it is the way it is - although I am out of Perth for about six months of every year. The one thing that could be improved is if we increased shopping hours - closing on Sundays is just ancient.
You hope Perth always retains ...
... its laid-back lifestyle.
What WA/Perth restaurant do you keep going back to?
I have three favourites. Every Friday when I'm in town I lunch at Coco's because of the fantastic service and atmosphere. When I have overseas or interstate visitors I like to take them to the C Restaurant because of the stunning views. And finally, to relax and watch the water lap almost to your feet, the Matilda Bay Restaurant in Crawley is unbeatable.
