Industrial and mining infrastructure firm Tenix has been announced as the preferred contractor to complete a $200 million upgrade of wastewater services in the Pilbara.
Tenix said design proposals would be completed and contracts would be finalised by the end of July.
Onsite works for upgrades at the Karratha and South Hedland wastewater treatment plants to a capacity of 10 million litres per day will begin later this year.
“We are delighted to have been selected as the preferred partner with Water Corporation to supply end-to-end project services for the delivery of these wastewater treatment plants,” Tenix executive general manager Chris Lazidis said.
Tenix is also currently delivering wastewater upgrades for the Water Corporation in Margaret River and Busselton.
