BubDesk has recently evolved its model from a physical co-working space with a creche to become an online platform.
Meg Burrage says she wanted to make the BubDesk service available to parents everywhere.
What?
BubDesk has recently evolved its model from a physical co-working space with a crèche to become an online platform that brings together childcare centres from around the country offering the BubDesk (ie an office from which to parents can work) service within their licensed daycare centres.
The platform operates like an Airbnb directory, and allows parents to locate a participating childcare centre close to home and to then read up on its profile, reviews and ratings.
Where?
The mobile-friendly directory is accessible through the BubDesk website at www.bubdesk.com.au/bubdesk-directory
Who?
BubDesk was founded by Meg Burrage, who previously worked in the subsea division at Woodside Energy.

“Partnering with leading childcare operators has enabled us to bring a range of centres together in a central platform and given us the time to focus on expanding the BubDesk network.” Meg Burrage said.

The current off-the-shelf solution required minimal investment, however, BubDesk is soon to embark on a new online booking system that will integrate parent desk bookings with the various childcare enrolment systems, enabling a more user-friendly and efficient process.
