Gold and critical minerals explorer Tambourah Metals has identified multiple airborne gravity anomalies indicative of denser rocks that may host nickel-copper-PGE mineralisation at its Bolgart and Tolarno projects approximately 100 kilometres northeast of Perth. A follow-up ground based moving loop electromagnetic survey has now been planned to test the gravity targets located near Chalice Mining’s monster Julimar PGE-nickel-copper-cobalt project.
In a recent airborne gravity survey, results at Bolgart lit up seven priority 1 targets whilst Tolarno gave up five priority 1 gravity targets.
The follow-up ground electromagnetic surveys planned at Bolgart and Tolarno are designed to test the densest rocks for the presence of conductive mineralisation. The contractors undertaking the ground survey have already been engaged with work anticipated to commence in the first quarter of this year.
Meanwhile at Tambourah’s nearby Wongan Hills project, a geophysical assessment of magnetic data has also commenced. Consultants have been contracted to define magnetic targets from publicly available data to determine if areas may be prospective for nickel-copper-PGE mineralisation.
The company’s Mogumber West and Bindoon tenements have also recently been granted, with the sites located a meagre 12 and 20 kilometres northeast of Chalice’s Julimar nickel-copper-PGE deposit. Ground reconnaissance and sampling is already underway at the newly granted tenements.
The geophysical consultant who undertook the Wongan Hills gravity data review is expected to delve into analysing the prospectivity of the Mogumber West and Bindoon tenements for hosting ultramafic rocks that may host nickel-copper-PGE mineralisation.
The geological society of Western Australia have recently conducted a remapping of the southwest Yilgarn district at a scale of 1:100 000. The updated maps highlight the presence of ultramafic rocks potentially prospective for hosting nickel-copper-PGE mineralisation over significant portions of Tambourah’s Julimar North tenure.
Tambourah Metals’ Executive Chairperson, Rita Brooks said:

Chalice’s Julimar deposit hosts a mammoth 330 million tonnes of ore grading 0.94 grams per tonne palladium, platinum and gold, 0.16 per cent nickel, 0.1 per cent copper and 0.016 per cent cobalt.
With neighbours like that just up the road, Tambourah is muscling into geological royalty territory and if near-ology counts for anything, Tamborough has it in spades.
