A new survey has found a record number of people in Perth want Sunday and weeknight trading.
The WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry survey which was undertaken last month found 68 per cent of respondents want to shop on Sunday.
That figure has increased from 63 per cent 12 months ago and is up 13 per cent over the past three years.
The Chamber also found 67 per cent of people want weeknight trading.
80 per cent of people aged up to 35 are the strongest supporters of late night and Sunday trading.
CCI chief executive James Pearson said, "The results prove that Perth people want choice and convenience."
"WA's retail trading laws are a relic from the past and haven't kept pace with our increasingly busy lifestyles," he said.
"The current system is also unfair to retailers because it's anti-competitive. Some stores are allowed to open but the majority can't."
